The PFFP is a unique, online learning program designed to support speech language therapists to develop their clinical skills and confidence in supporting children 6 months - 12 years with paediatric feeding disorders.

Participants will gain an understanding of typical pediatric oral and feeding development, body systems and conditions, and pediatric feeding disorders as a basis for oral motor assessment, feeding evaluation and treatment planning. Participants will also learn to identify treatment principles and techniques for responsive feeding therapy, oral sensory motor therapies, developmental progressions in feeding, and dysphagia management. There will also be a focus on necessary resources, tools, processes and professional support required for providing feeding therapy or setting up a feeding clinic.

 

The course is carried out online following a curriculum pathway with video modules and live check-in sessions over 3.5 months, with 12 months access to the course. Numerous templates, tools and resources will be provided with the course.
