News and Events

Want to access information around developments in the Association? This section provides important information on significant events related to the NZSTA, including SLT Awareness Day, the Mutual Recognition Agreement, and SLT Registration in New Zealand.

Professional Development Information

This section provides information about professional development events.  Suggestions for professional development events should be forwarded to Felicity Bright (Professional Development portfolio leader), otherwise questions regarding specific PD events should be directed to the contacts provided in the listings.  Information on the Continuing Professional Development scheme is also here and access to the spreasheet for recording this information.

Submissions

Copies of NZSTA submissions lodged on consultation and review documents.  The submissions can only be viewed by NZSTA members.

Special Interest Groups

This section provides information on the Special Interest Groups and Special Interest Contacts operating throughout New Zealand.

Awards and Grants

Each year, members are able to apply for a number of awards and funding grants.  These include the Research Excellence Award, the Medical Staffing International Award for Achievement in Speech-Language Therapy, and the NZSTA Funding Grants.  

In addition a number of awards are presented to members after nomination by the University training programmes. These include the Clinical Field Supervisor's Service Award and the NZSTA Student Achievement Awards.

Meeting Minutes

Minutes of Executive Council and Annual General meetings can be accessed in this section, which is restricted to current members of the NZSTA.

Guidelines and Position Papers

Information on current guidelines, such as the guidelines for Provisional Membership, and position papers, such as the NZSTA's position on EStim, can be accessed by current members in this section.
