Introduction
Join your Professional Body
Membership of the NZSTA is a great way to keep informed about what’s happening in speech-language therapy in New Zealand. Student membership gives you access to scholarships and heavily discounted rates for professional development events and conferences. Student members have the opportunity to develop networks and meet practicing speech-language therapists at Area Meetings and to find out what it’s like being part of the profession. Being able to put NZSTA membership on your CV shows that you have a commitment to your own professional development and to the growth of the profession as a whole. For more information go to Member Benefits.

NZSTA Student Representatives
Each NZSTA-accredited speech-language therapy programme has student representatives who provide a link between the student body and the NZSTA Executive Council. A list of student rep responsibilities is available here. Please feel free to contact your student-body representatives with any questions, issues that are facing you and/or your SLT peers or new ideas for student membership.
