Professional practice of Speech-Language Therapy in New Zealand is guided by the NZSTA Code of Ethics

Introduction to the Code of Ethics

A high standard of professional and ethical integrity is paramount in Speech-Language Therapists' fulfilment of professional responsibilities.

The NZSTA Code of Ethics outlines six ethical principles relating to professional competence and integrity, personal conduct, relationships with clients and other professionals, confidentiality and research.

The document details each of these six areas, and can be downloaded here.
